From September 4-6 the Selma Chapter of the Triple X Fraternity hosted the 2026 Annual Convention in Reno, NV. Bro. Ara arrived with Bro. Steve Chelebian the evening of the 4th and set up a hospitality room complete with snacks and beverages for the Brothers and guests.

Friday night was spent enjoying the company of several of the Brothers and their wives, children and friends at Silver Legacy Resort & Casino. Saturday there was a Backgammon Tournament hosted by Bro. Mark Antranikian where Bro. Ara was eliminated in the first round by the 3rd place finisher 5-4. In the afternoon Bro. Ara joined several others in a walk along the river near the casino.

Saturday night had a slots tournament followed by a buffet dinner with music and prizes. Brothers being Brothers, several of the bars at the resort were filled with drink and laughter until after midnight. On Sunday morning the business meeting took place where Bro. Ara Malazian was formally nominated for Grand Master by Past Grand Master Bob Juskalian.

After the Business Meeting there was a brief reception for the new Grand Master David Shapazian hosted by Convention Chairman Bro. Ken Abrahamian. For those who were able to stay there was a delicious dinner at a Basque Restaurant Sunday night before everyone headed home on Sunday.
